First Medical Advisory Group (FMAG) scheduling policies are described here in order to help clients get the most out of any referrals made to our panel physicians. For more information on scheduling, please contact the Scheduling Coordinator.
All records are expected to be received in the appropriate office (as noted below) at least 2 weeks prior to the examination date. The examining physician and/or FMAG may cancel the examination if the records are not received prior to the appointment date.
WHY? The FMAG staff sorts the medical records and removes duplicate documents in order to assist the physician in streamlining the chart review. If we do not receive the records with enough time prior to the exam date to perform this task, then the physician must sort through the records. This may result in higher charges from the physician, especially if the chart is very large or contains a large number of duplicate documents.
